Neoperl sends out a strong signal at the Kongress BW in Heidelberg
Two days full of power, input and inspiring encounters – that was the Kongress BW in Heidelberg for Neoperl Germany. Our Sustainability Manager Jannis Klonk and Laura Schönhardt had the opportunity to take part in Europe's largest resource congress in Heidelberg on 16 and 17 October and returned with a wealth of exciting insights that we would like to share with you.
With more than 1500 participants, the congress was a real source of energy. It was impressive to see how many people are actively committed to a resource-conserving future and driving innovation. The positive atmosphere and the common goal were palpable everywhere and gave us an additional boost.
A particular highlight was the presentation by MVV Energie AG, which aims to become a climate-neutral energy supplier by 2035. This impressive example shows how decarbonisation can be used as an opportunity and how important it is to take bold steps towards climate neutrality. The congress also made it clear that a circular and climate-neutral economy is not only ecologically necessary, but also economically advantageous.
We were proud to be part of the visitor tour for climate protection and resource efficiency and to present our › ‘flow against the current’ campaign to a large audience. After all, saving water only makes a real difference if many people join in. The congress also provided a platform for more than 20 innovative start-ups. We were particularly impressed by Water 3.0, which removes microplastics from water, Melt, which produces scalable heat storage panels, and Ecalia, which increases the energy efficiency of heat pumps and air conditioning systems. These ideas show that the GreenTech market is full of potential and will play a key role in shaping the future.
The presentations were also inspiring throughout, and we were particularly impressed by the contribution of the Congolese ambassador Tosi Mpanu-Mpanu from Entreprise Générale du Cobalt on the global supply chain of cobalt and raw material justice. He made it clear how our decisions today have a lasting impact on our lives tomorrow.
The discussions with decision-makers from politics and business were particularly valuable. These interactions opened up new perspectives and exciting opportunities for cooperation. The direct dialogue showed us how important networking and cooperation are for a sustainable future.
We are overwhelmed by the many impressions, the intensive conversations and the inspiring discussions and presentations during the two days in Heidelberg. These experiences have motivated us even more to make our contribution to a resource-saving future. Would you like to find out more about our water-saving campaigns and initiatives?
